Volunteer Training Day 21st April

This is the opportunity for CVSS volunteers to refresh their skills prior to the season, or, if they are new to us, to become familiar with our boats and equipment and meet the team before the season starts.

We can only run one day of this type each season - but if you want to volunteer for 2015 don't worry we can provide training during sailing days for you.

Parents, Assistants and Teachers Training Day 22nd April

This is our free full day for those who will buddy, katakanu and otherwise support sailors on site. It's a chance to ask questions and try out activities without the responsibilities of enabling disabled sailors.

As usual the day was very well supported with 55 willing supporters on site. Everyone had a great day and developed new skills or practiced the ones they hadn't used since October 2014.

We can only offer one day of this type each year.

If you are a parent, assistant or teacher who is supporting a sailor in the 2015 season and want some training support, please tell the CVSS leader of the day, the Shore Officer or contact us and we will do what we can..... but sailing sessions are now very busy and we're not making promises!!

Images from the day and previous sessions can be viewed in our Photo Gallery

Tour de Pednor 300The Queen's Head's annual Tour de Pednor took place on 11 August 2013. A team of seven CVSS volunteers mounted their bikes to complete the loop. The bike ride started at the pub and went along the five mile Pednor Loop before returning to the pub for an afternoon of fun.

Our thanks to Lisa Walker, publican of the Queen's Head in Chesham, who nominated CVSS as the charity for the sponsored bike ride around Pednor. Thanks also to Timandra and Barry Slade who liased with Lisa to ensure our presence on the day.

It was a great day out and raised in excess of £1,275 for CVSS. Well done all.
